The definition of a trifle according to Merriam-Webster dictionary is a dessert typically consisting of plain or sponge cake often soaked with wine or spirits (such as brandy or rum) and topped with layers of preserves, custard, and cream. This definition does sum up the basics of what a trifle dessert entails, but until you have actually created your own trifle dessert using your favorite fruit and cookie or cake, you will not truly understand how wonderful this is!!

Being a fan of strawberries, since I can remember, and a true lover of soft buttery cake, these two items together just make the perfect dessert for any occasion. Instead of the typical plain whip cream used for a strawberry shortcake, this recipe requires baking white chocolate bars and cream cheese. Once you melt that gorgeous white chocolate and cream it together with the softened cream cheese and gently fold it into the whipped cream, you may have to restrain yourself from just eating this mixture by itself!! Yes it is that Good!!!
